Privacy Policy
RawTip is run by one person, not a data-collection company, and this policy is written to actually be read. Short version: you can read every article here without an account, without signing up for anything, and without handing over any personal information at all.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, RawTip uses privacy-respecting analytics (Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights) to see, in aggregate, which pages get read and how fast the site loads. This tells me what to write more of and what's broken — it doesn't identify you personally, and I have no way to trace it back to any one visitor.
The newsletter
If you subscribe to the weekly email, your address is collected and stored by Kit (ConvertKit), the service that sends it, solely to deliver that newsletter. It isn't used for anything else, it isn't sold or shared, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe that removes you immediately.
Cookies and third-party services
Some third-party services this site relies on — analytics, font delivery, the newsletter provider — may set their own cookies or collect standard technical data as part of doing their job. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time; the site works fine without them.
Links to other sites
Articles link out to tools, sources, and other websites, and there's an optional Google Translate link for reading the site in Korean. None of these are affiliate links and nothing is sponsored, so there's no affiliate tracking baked into them — but I still don't control, and am not responsible for, the privacy practices of any site you reach from here. Check their policies before sharing anything with them.
